On the morning of March 9, 2005, a neighbor went to the residence of Chantal Trudeau and Alain Gariépy in Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac. She discovered them both, lifeless. Police have reason to believe that their assassination would have taken place during the evening or the night prior to the discovery of the victims.
