This case has to do with a double murder that occurred on Monday, February 25, 1985 inside a residence located on Rang 7 in Saint-Benoît-de-la-Corne, Abitibi. The victims, Eustache and Clément Gaivin, were brothers.
The Gaivin brothers were farmers and lived exclusively on income from farm products. Rumor had it that the two brothers were keeping a large sum of money in their residence. The victims were shot. A portion of the house was searched, which indicates that the killer or killers were looking for money or something in particular.
