L'Assomption
The victim, Jean Grandmaison, was a doorman at Hôtel Spirale in Saint-Paul-l’Ermite (L’Assomption). On June 23, 1973, around 10:10 p.m., while he was sitting at a table in the hotel, two individuals came down the stairs; one of them fired a machine gun in the air while the other, using a handgun, shot Mr. Grandmaison, sitting at a table near the stairs. The suspects fled immediately.
