On this case concerns the disappearance of two young Montréal women, age 20 and 23, who left for a vacation in Lac-Saint-Jean on July 4, 1976. Jocelyne Beaudoin was accompanied by her friend Renée Lessard. They had planned to hitchhike and sleep in campgrounds. They were last seen alive on July 12, 1976, when they stayed at motel d’Amour in Rivière-du-Loup.

They were reported missing by their respective families on August 2, 1976.

On October 3, 1976, around 1:00 p.m., the body of a woman was found in a wooded area on rang du Coteau in Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur. It was the body of Jocelyne Beaudoin, age 20.
