On 6 November 1972, Lorenzo Chartier, aged 32, was reported missing. He was a taxi driver for the company "Légion" in the Sherbrooke area. At approximately 1:00 p.m., he responded to a call from a telephone booth at the corner of St-Patrice and Sherbrooke streets in the municipality of Magog.
The next day, Lorenzo Chartier's taxi was found abandoned on Route 1 in Orford. On November 8, the victim's body was located in a field near Silver Lake in Eastman. The investigation shows that it was a homicide.
