On December 4, 1987, an armed man wearing a mask burst into the offices of Carrière Mirabel on Chemin Grand-St-Charles in Mirabel. The president of the company, Mario Taddeo, age 49, and one of the employees, Pierre Blanchard, age 48, were fatally shot by the suspect.
