On June 7th, 1994, around 3:45 p.m., Philippe Dionne, then 45 years old, went to a friend's house in Sorel. Once inside the apartment building, Mr. Dionne was struck by several gunshots causing his death. A suspect was seen leaving the scene quickly in a white vehicle, which after being located, turned out to be reported stolen for a few days in Montreal.
