On October 17, 1982, the body of Réal Doré, age 58, was discovered by hunters in a wooded area on chemin Du Rocher in Ormstown. The victim had reportedly left his residence in Châteauguay on October 8, 1982. His vehicle was found on October 22, 1982 in the parking lot of the K-Mart shopping centre in Ville LaSalle. The investigation revealed that it was a homicide.
