Serge Maillé

On October 5, 1976, around 1:30 a.m., the Mont-Laurier municipal police force responded to a call by a citizen stating he had found an unconscious man on Île Bell. The man in question was Serge Maillé, age 29, a resident of Rouyn-Noranda in Abitibi. Serge Maillé had suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Before his death, he reportedly stayed at Motel l'Étape in Mont-Laurier.
