In the early afternoon of August 25, 1984, during a towing operation following an accident on Autoroute 40 in the Sainte-Madeleine-de-Rigaud sector, the body of Stephen James Leslie, alias “Jake”, 26, was discovered on the side of the road. The investigation showed that it was a homicide that could be linked to the criminal milieu.
